Ismail! I’m a third year Biochemistry major. I’m so excited to be the Co-President of SSA this year. After being on the board last year, I had so much fun and was excited to see what SSA would be like with you guys in person. Really can’t wait to bring the Somali community in OSU together, and welcome the freshmen💞

My name is Nimco Deria and I am serving as
this years co-president of SSA! I am a fourth year majoring in Health Sciences. My goal for SSA this year is to promote inclusivity through events and activities that are enjoyable for all. Since activities have been limited due to the pandemic, we hope to make this year an eventful one that everyone will enjoy!

Hi everyone my name is Caisha Abdullahi. I’m a second year pursuing a dual degree in international studies and public policy with an Arabic minor. I’m super excited to finally be back on campus and meet so many amazing people. I can’t wait to spread Somalinimo here at Ohio State!

Secretary

Hi everyone, my name is Suaad Musse and I am 3rd year Neuroscience major. I am so excited to be apart of SSA this year as the Secretary. What I love about SSA is that it gives us an opportunity to spread our amazing culture as well as teach others about it as well. I hope to incorporate the many beautiful parts of the Somali culture into the SSA community here in Columbus and OSU.

I am beyond excited to be apart of the board this year and to help create such amazing events for our community.
